Welcome to The Equestrian Center Riding Academy

Janet Evans

Janet began her riding career in 1966 with Vicki Hart and hasn’t stopped since. As a child, she rode Western, Hunters, ran barrels and showed a built up Tennessee Walker. As an adult, Janet took up Dressage, more Hunters; and who can resist the thrill of Eventing or the beauty of an AQHA halter horse. She has studied with many of the top riders and trainers in the country in multiple disciplines and enjoys sharing that knowledge with others.

Our Horses Look Forward to Meeting You!

Suddenly Blessed

Suddenly Blessed, affectionately known as Suds, this stunning Off The Track Thoroughbred (OTTB) is a favorite among our intermediate and advanced riders. Suds brings energy and elegance to every ride—he loves to jump, pick up speed, and, of course, never says no to a treat!

Thee Journey

An Arabian Sporthorse and son of Thee Desperado, Journey is a striking mover and an exceptional jumper, making him a favorite among our intermediate and advanced riders. But don’t let his impressive talent fool you—Journey has a gentle side and loves helping beginners find their seat and build confidence at the trot.

Paisley Grace

Paisley Grace

Gentle, kind, and full of heart, Paisley Grace is a favorite among our students. She’s a patient teacher who helps riders build confidence and persistence—and she always looks forward to a crisp, cold apple after a job well done!

Primera

Paisley Grace

Primera made her way to us all the way from Europe, where she competed at high levels and brought home numerous titles and championships. Now enjoying her well-earned senior years, she’s our gentle giant—patiently guiding beginners as they take their first steps in the saddle and happily accepting every treat that comes her way.

Selma

Brigand

With experience in Special Olympics and 4-H programs, Selma brings patience, kindness, and a steady presence to every ride. She’s a favorite among our beginner students, whether they’re learning English or Western—and she’s known for having the smoothest canter in the barn. Bonus: she absolutely loves bath time!

Brigand

Brigand

A perennial favorite, Brigand is happily enjoying his golden years surrounded by love, scratches, and plenty of snacks—courtesy of both students and parents alike 😉. Though he’s mostly retired, his presence is still a big part of the TEC family.

Mini Love

The life of the party and the perfect pony pals for our littlest riders, the three minis at TEC are a favorite at birthday bashes and beginner lessons alike.
Mini B is sweet and gentle. Chip is always on the lookout for carrots, scratches—and their best buddy, Willow loves apples and being groomed! Most young riders will take their first ride on either Chip or Mini B.

Boone & Red

Beloved by riders of all ages, Boone and Red are our steady, beginner-friendly geldings—almost everyone starts their riding journey with one of these two! Whether it’s English or Western, they’re ready to go.

Boone is the Choctaw war horse at local football games, proudly carrying the spirit of the team onto the field!

Karmah

Captain

Karmah  came to TEC as a colt. He is from Rohara Arabians with outstanding bloodlines. He is used for our intermediate and advance students.

He is being leased and loved by his favorite student!

Captain

Captain is of impressive bloodlines.  His grandfather, Coco, stood at the Equestrian Center.

He is being leased and loved by his favorite student!

Monty

He is being leased and loved by his favorite student!

Storm

Storm, a talented Quarter Horse mare, came to TEC as a five-year-old and quickly found her stride in the dressage arena under Ms. Janet’s guidance.
She is being leased and loved by her favorite student!
