Lessons
To inquire about lessons call us at 850-863-3295! The Equestrian Center has an incredibly well rounded lesson program. The Equestrian Center will help you reach your personal goals. We teach all of our students from the ground up and emphasize safety above all else when working around horses.
About Our Lessons
Our lessons are typically 1 hour long and include grooming, tacking up, riding, and then untacking. Grooming is an essential part of our time together—it helps build a connection with the horse and teaches trust and communication, which are just as or even more important than the ride itself.
We truly believe horses are sentient individuals with personalities and feelings, and they deserve the same respect and care we give to one another. After our introduction ride the first few lessons may feel like information overload, but don’t worry! As grooming becomes second nature, you’ll naturally have more time in the saddle.
Proper riding attire is mandatory.
This consists of:
- Long pants or jeans(thick enough as to not be pinched by the leather stirrup straps)
- Fitted shirt or T-Shirt
- Boots or closed toed shoes.
- **Helmets are provided by The Equestrian Center if you do not have your own. If its not a equestrian specific helmet then it is NOT APPROVED FOR HORSEBACK RIDING.
